The Metro City Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit, in coordination with the Federal Cyber Task Force, issues this advisory to inform the public of increased cyber-related incidents affecting municipal infrastructure and private businesses throughout the metropolitan area.

Nature of Incidents

Reported incidents include:

  • Unauthorized access to secured networks and databases

  • Manipulation of IoT devices and smart infrastructure
  • Data exfiltration from private and public systems
  • Unexplained power fluctuations in localized areas

Notably, conventional ransomware or financial theft has not been observed. The motive behind these intrusions remains unclear.
